On the Table
Have you ever pondered that day when you walk into your favorite shop and there it is, a round domed covered dish?  You have it in your hands and wonder is it a butter dish or cheese dish? No, I haven't either, but it gives you something to think about while the pictures load. Both pieces do exist, the covered butter is 3 3/4" high x 7" across. The covered cheese is larger, 4 1/2" high x 8" across and has an insert. The vent holes are also different.
This I want to call a finger bowl. It has matte finished bottom, 1 1/2" high x 3 3/4" across.
This bowl is attached to the saucer, a soup or cereal bowl ? 1 5/8" high x 5" across.
Covered condiment jar, I sure wish it had the ladle. If you have one please send a picture. 4" high x 5 1/4" across.
This I call a syrup pitcher. It fits nicely in a small saucer. 5" high x 5 1/4" across.
I lean toward calling this a toothpick holder, definitely not a candle holder. 2 5/8" high x 2 1/2" across.
The egg cup with attached base is 2 1/2" high x 4 1/2" across the base.
Leaf shaped candy dishes, the smaller is 4 7/8" x 5 1/4" and the larger is 5 3/4" x 6 1/4".
The base dish is 9" across with an attached pedestal that is 2 1/2" high and 4 1/2" across.

9-5-07  It has been suggested that this may be a Ramekin. Sounds reasonable.
